Frequently asked questions

How accurate are the calorie estimates?
SnapCalorie uses GPT-4 Vision to estimate nutritional content. Estimates are typically within 10–20% of actual values for clearly visible meals with standard portions. Complex mixed dishes or unusual portion sizes may have higher variance. Always treat results as approximations.
My subscription isn't being recognized after reinstalling. What do I do?
Tap "Restore Purchases" on the home screen or in the paywall. The app will automatically check your Apple ID for any active subscriptions and restore Premium access. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → SnapCalorie → Cancel. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged. You retain Premium access until the end of the current billing period.
Does SnapCalorie work offline?
No. An internet connection is required to perform food analysis, as the photo needs to be sent to our AI server. The app will notify you if no connection is available when you try to scan.
Are my photos stored anywhere?
No. Photos are sent to our server for analysis and immediately discarded. They are never stored, logged, or associated with any identity. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund for any App Store purchase. We cannot process refunds directly.
